1. Try the problem described in class last day. Answer: d = (3/5) L
2. Problem to play with - it's one of my all-time faves. Chapter 8: 36. You need to combine circular motion and energy again. Try your best.
3. Chapter 8.22, 8.25
FYI - we're covering chapters 7 and 8 simultaneously. I'm assuming that you're using the 7th edition of Halliday/Resnick/Walker. Am I right?
We're next going to cover momentum and collisions, chapter 9. Then we'll try a formal lab report that will include energy transfer, collisions and rockets (oh yeah!). Rockets are on order.
